  • Manage the daily staffing for the nursing departments
  • Receive ill/absence calls on a daily basis and make appropriate staffing adjustments.
  • Communicate schedules and changes to personnel as necessary
  • Special staffing projects
  • Communicate staffing concerns to Manager on a regular basis (i.e., shortages, surplus, patterns, etc.)


  • High school diploma
  • Prefer post-high school training in business, computer, etc.



  • Required healthcare work experience for 2 years, preferable in a clinic setting (i.e.- nursing assistant, medical receptionist, etc.)


  • Understanding of clinic systems and nursing functions
  • Demonstrates precision and orientation to detail organization and ability to meet deadline
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under stress
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Typing and computer skills
  • Copy and fax machine knowledge

Work Schedule

  • Day/Evening position
  • Hours of the department are 4a-1230a, shifts are either 8 or 12 hours. Example: 4a-1230p, 4a-430p, 12p-1230a, 4p-1230a
  • Current weekend rotation is every third weekend

Location/Community Information

The city of Coon Rapids is a fast growing community on the Mississippi River just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the metropolitan area gateway to the northern part of the state. Coon Rapids offers excellent access to highways, dynamic community shopping centers with major retail anchors, and a wide variety of recreational activities including neighborhood and regional parks, a municipal golf course, indoor ice arenas, hiking and biking trails and swimming pools.
