Responsibilities

  • The Patient Transporter provides support in transferring and transporting patients, pharmaceuticals, equipment, medical records, materials distribution products, lab specimens and blood products
  • The Patient Transporter assists with various support duties to make efficient use of downtime and provide assistance to patient care areas
  • Advocates for the patient and family to support patient/family rights and needs
  • Demonstrates a customer service approach in care and interactions with others
  • Communication, awareness, attendance
  • Other transport duties as assigned

Education

  • High school graduate orGED, post secondary preferred

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • Previous health care experience preferred

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to walk significant distances, some lifting required
  • Able to manage priorities of workload

Licensure/Certifications

  • BLS

Work Schedule

Per Pay Period:
4 night shifts (11pm to 7:30am), including every other weekend. One evening shift.

The city of Coon Rapids is a fast growing community on the Mississippi River just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the metropolitan area gateway to the northern part of the state. Coon Rapids offers excellent access to highways, dynamic community shopping centers with major retail anchors, and a wide variety of recreational activities including neighborhood and regional parks, a municipal golf course, indoor ice arenas, hiking and biking trails and swimming pools.
