  • Responsible for restaurant style & grill short order cooking both in Cafe and back of the house.
  • Follow modified diet recipes for cooking/ serving patients.
  • Responsible for Café style cooking
  • Deli prep and service
  • Preparing menu items according to recipes and cooking to order
  • Prep work
  • Utilizing culinary planning records
  • Follow all appropriate food handling safety standards


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • ServSafe certification recommended.



  • 2-3 years of cooking experience
  • Line capacity/high volume experience preferred
  • Health care food service experience or restaurant experience strongly preferred


  • Proficient in kitchen operations and equipment use
  • Excellent training and development skills
  • Posses up to date and relevant knowledge and trends of the food service industry
  • HACCP knowledge preferred (serve safe certification desirable)
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Catering knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., carry 25 lbs., and push/pull up 45 lbs
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods

Work Schedule

This is a relief position and will be cross trained in all areas of Food Production area.
