• Proficient in quality diagnostic procedures including accuracy, completeness, and following protocol
• Collect relevant clinical information prior to exams such as previous exams, clinical history and surgical history
• In compliance with physician’s orders, department policies and procedures (procedure knowledge, equipment functions, and film/computer processing)
• Start with an introduction to the patient and have pleasant small talk, pay attention to patient needs (toileting, dignity, modesty, cultural needs, emotional, etc.)
• Accurate use of time
• Ability to accurately maintain the work flow of the radiology department, patient flow, communicate to the radiologist, films sent to radiologist to be read in a timely manner
• Performs clerical functions

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

Experience

• 2 years with an approved school of Radiology Science - ARRT American College of Radiology

Skills

• This position requires a working knowledge of radiology imaging, procedures, and equipment
• Ability to flex with patient demands
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent patient care skills
• Highly organized and able to work both independently and as a team player
• Must be in good physical condition to stand, move quickly, bend, push, pull, lift, reach, etc.

Licensure/Certifications

• Registered with the ARRT
• BLS
