Responsibilities

  • To provide evaluation and treatment to adult and pediatric patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing problems
  • Educate patients, families and community
  • Consult with physicians and various health care professionals
  • Participate on interdisciplinary health care teams
  • Use appropriate documentation

Education

  • Master’s degree (MA or MS) in Communication Disorders / Speech-Language Pathology

Qualification/Skills

Experience
  • ASHA/MSHA membership
  • Clinical expertise and experience in areas that complement the needs of the department and current staff: specifically experience with adult and pediatric populations
  • Continued education that expands current knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology
  • AAC experience or willingness to learn
  • Prefer LSVT trained or willingness to be trained
  • Prefer two years of clinical experience

  • Good interpersonal skills / customer focus
  • Good organizational / time management skill
  • Good problem solving / judgement skills

Work Schedule

  • 32 hours a week
  • Days
  • Monday - Friday; hours to be determined
