Regina Hospital, located in Hastings, Minn., provides health care services including primary care, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, inpatient geriatric mental health, urology and occupational medicine. The Hastings campus also includes senior living facilities, two Allina Health clinics and a surgery center.

Position Purpose
  • Provides executive leadership to Regina Medical Center and River Falls Hospital.
  • Leads strategy development and operational oversight for both hospitals.
  • In partnership with the Chief Integration Officer, will participate in the CEO Summit and Community Hospital Roundtable to ensure execution of on-going Allina Health and East Region growth strategies and strategic alignment with independent affiliated community hospitals.
  • Leads all day-to-day operations of integrated Regina and River Falls campuses to achieve clinical, financial and quality of care objectives.
  • The position will be expected to formulate and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve operating results and grow market share for all hospitals within the position’s scope of authority; to promote a positive image and enhance community and physician relations in all accountable markets; and ensure coordinated care between the East Region hospitals and clinics and other Allina Health facilities to realize an integrated, efficient patient care delivery system within the East Region, Allina Health and across the care continuum.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • MBA, MHA or related post graduate degree required.

Qualification/Skills

  • Minimum of seven years of progressive management experience at a director level or above in a health care setting, preferably in regional hospital and ideally with hospital, clinic and health care system experience.

A scenic rivertown steeped in tradition, Hastings features the rugged and colorful scenery of the Mississippi, St. Croix, and Vermillion Rivers, many historic buildings, a mix of shopping facilities, restaurants, and industry and community festivities. The charming downtown is an interesting collection of restaurants, shops, and third-generation stores. Within the city limits are 8 city parks, 14 neighborhood parks, and boat access ramps. Two ski slopes and six golf courses are nearby. The neighborhoods feature a blend of large, quaint, older homes complemented by newer housing that lends a suburban influence.
