  • Prepares, assembles, portions, items as requested per meal ticket or production sheet
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work stations according to job routine
  • Follows recipes for appropriate measurements and procedures
  • Labels, date, and store products appropriately, follow safe food handling
  • Follows hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) guidelines, and work place safety


  • 7th grade education or ability to read and write in English at a 7th grade level
  • Prefer high school graduate with post education in technical cooking



  • Related experience in high volume service, line, saute, grill cook in a restaurant


  • Ability to apply verbal and written information to daily job activities
  • Read and follow directions, recipes
  • Read a thermometer
  • Ability to communicate in a one on one situation with customers and peers
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs in a pro-active manner
  • Knowledgeable and demonstrates ability to operate food service equipment safely
  • Adhere to safe food handling and ergonomic practices
  • Requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing
  • Good customer service skills, interdepartmental relationships, and flexibility in performing job duties


  • Technical college/cook/chefs diploma helpful
