The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.

The Marketing Strategy Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of the marketing and brand strategy. Oversee continued growth and evolution of the Allina Health brand. Partner with organization leadership to guide existing brands, continuously enhance the brands to increase their equity, and identify new strategic growth opportunities of the business. Partner with Marketing's Creative team to align brand visuals with overall brand strategies. The individual oversees the development and implementation of brand and marketing growth strategies and plans for Allina Health, business units and corporate functions. This individual is accountable to develop and oversee structures and processes that help the team and key stakeholders prioritize marketing requests, key campaigns, and more.

  • Lead marketing strategies to impact and influence our customers’ attitudes, behaviors, and choices to meet and exceed budgeted impact and business goals.
  • Responsible for oversight of strategy, planning and execution of marketing for business units/business unit leaders and/or system office functions/system office leaders
  • Implement brand strategies into marketing strategies, brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Analyze and create strategic marketing recommendations and based on businesses goals, growth goals, P&L and past performance.
  • Responsible to ensure the overall implementation and deliverables of the marketing plan
  • Develop integrated marketing and communications plans to drive the business with measurable and attributable impact from marketing efforts
  • Partners with leadership teams and marketing strategy team members/leaders to help drive strategy and growth through effective marketing strategies
  • Provide strategic support and organization around major digital brand initiatives.
  • Monitor and understand stakeholder goals, consumer research, market trends, and competition to evaluate potential impact to brands.
  • Collaborate with channel owners across marketing and throughout the organization on areas including reputation management, SEO, web development, creative design, social media, public relations and internal communications.
  • Lead and use analyzed market research to understand consumer and market opportunities to inform marketing strategies.
  • Identify, present and implement opportunities to further enhance brands, analyzing brand positioning and leverage consumer insights to help inform strategies and executions.
  • Manage the strategic marketing plans for initiatives and make recommendations based on businesses P&L and past performance.
  • Manages the strategies so they leverage optimal distribution methods and that plans and approves messages across all functions so they are aligned, clear and promote action and/or engagement.
  • Prioritizes marketing tactics and strategies of team based on alignment with larger organizational strategy and/or impact to local or systemwide.
  • Coordinates assignments and manages performance of the marketing strategy team members
  • Develops budgets and financials for teams and assigned projects. May participate in the preparation of a department or business unit budget.
  • Manage production schedules and workload of internal team and outside vendors/agencies
  • Provides day-to-day technical and operational leadership while performing escalated or complex duties as an individual contributor

Education

  • Required - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or health care related field

Qualification/Skills

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and business acumen
  • Ability to influence and build credibility with executive leadership for messaging and marketing strategies
  • Experienced in driving individual and team performance by coaching, modeling behaviors and providing constructive feedback
  • Relationship-oriented; able to effectively create and deliver compelling and clear presentations
  • Experience in project management and counseling teams (communications and partners) to deliver informed, measurable communication plans
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational, project management, problem solving abilities
  • Comfortable leading change and developing strategies and communication solutions for a wide variety of scenarios
  • Motivated, engaging, self-starting and influential
  • Strong word processing and spreadsheet skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
