The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.

The Manager of Vendor Management has responsibility for the governance and oversight of vendor partners operating within revenue cycle operations. The manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of services provided by vendor partners. They continuously evaluate and improve existing relationships and establish new partnerships when needed. They collaborate with revenue cycle leadership to develop policies and procedures to ensure vendor partners are delivering products and services that align with contractual and service level agreements. The manager may negotiate contracts for the best value of services to support operations and business objectives. Oversees a team of vendor management specialists focused on the daily operations and management of vendor partners.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle leadership to drive a consistent vendor management strategy consistent with overall business objectives
  • Research new products and services that may contribute to company goals
  • Define, measure, and benchmark vendor performance in a consistent manner to develop an approach for discussing and implementing best practices, standardized solutions, tools, and performance auditing
  • Develop standards, processes, and procedures for all new vendor onboarding
  • Manage communications among vendors and revenue cycle operations
  • Coordinate all revenue cycle related request for proposal (RFP) activities
  • Work cross functionally with revenue cycle leaders and finance to support budget/forecasting activities
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, day to day engagement management, risk assessments and overall performance management of vendors to ensure vendors meet contractual and regulatory obligations outlined in their contract in order to mitigate and control risk


• Bachelor's Degree in business management, finance, or related field required with a master’s degree preferred
• Five (5) years managing vendor relationships; experience in revenue cycle operations


  • Vendor management and experience of managing service teams and a range of projects
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and systems
  • Ability to communicate reports and analytics to leadership
  • Strong management skills with excellent verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of both financial and operational controls

Work Schedule

  • Hours typical of a Manager role, but generally Monday thru Friday days.
