Responsibilities

  • The purpose of the position is to provide support to Abbott Northwestern's Weight Management clinic through activities such as patient registration, scheduling, reception/check-in, insurance processing, cash receipts, answering phones, maintaining medical records, and providing clerical/administrative support.
  • Demonstrates skills in managing the reception and registration process
  • Demonstrates ability to comply with payment and receipt process
  • Implements appropriate scheduling process and support
  • Demonstrates ability in phone answering
  • Demonstrates ability in patient mailings
  • Demonstrates ability in the maintenance of medical records
  • Demonstrates communication techniques that meet the patient's unique weight issues

Education

  • High school or GED required
  • One year post high school education preferred

•1-2 years staff experience, preferably in health care setting

Work Schedule

  • 1/2 day every Monday, full days on Tuesday and Thursday. There may be opportunity for this position to flex up to cover vacation and illness.
