The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.

Working with the Manager or Director, Performance Improvement and other PI leaders to help drive performance improvement efforts and achieve results on strategic priorities. Using data, assist regional leaders in driving their business.

  • Lead discussions around improvement for key areas for all levels within the organization; ensures the lean methodologies and improvement principles are followed. Assists in coordinating the discussion for the most successful outcome. Review and interpret data to identify gaps in performance compared to benchmarks
  • Ability to access, interpret and discuss data, comfort with complex data set, mining/collecting data and using statistical guidelines
  • Understand and use key PI tools, possess the knowledge to link tools and approach to operational circumstances.
  • Ability to develop project plans for operations including timelines, stakeholders and business impact.
  • Ability to observe processes to identify gaps in performance. Develop plans to assess and identify the problem and map processes

Perform duties of PI - Associate


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Healthcare Administration or engineering
  2. LEAN certified, six sigma or Project Management certification preferred


  • 3 to 5 years in project management, LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies

Work Schedule

40 hours per week.
