The Quality Improvement Advisor partners with hospital and medical staff leaders to assure continuous quality improvement through utilization of Allina improvement resources and best of care practices. This position will support the Cardiovascular and Critical Care areas.


  • Master's degree
  • Bachelors degree required. Preferred BSN - RN with 5 years of hospital nursing experience required


Healthcare Quality certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • 5 – 10 years progressive quality improvement experience in health care organizations preferred.
  • Experience and success with progressive quality roles.
  • Proficient Computer skills in Electronic Medical Records, internet navigation and research, Microsoft Office (including, but not limited to Work, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access), and other database applications.
  • Mastery of quality, performance improvement principles, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient Analytical and Data Management skills, including statistical analysis.
  • Proven Interdisciplinary leadership outcomes.
  • Proven facilitation skills and ability to manage multiple change initiatives.
  • Ability to lead large and/or complex projects including design, project management and documentation including final report preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work with a variety of software and analytical tools.
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and coach less experienced staff.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Strong Change Management and Negotiation/Conflict Management Skills.
  • Strong Customer Service orientation

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday day hours
Some flexibility required to meet customer needs for early/late appointments.
