Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to achieve high quality, safe, and reliable care within assigned clinical programs.
  • Primarily support the Mother/Baby Clinical Service Line (CSL) but may be asked to support other CSLs if/when the need arises.
  • Partners with the physician, clinical experts, and operational leaders to advance high quality, high value care of patients across the continuum.
  • Provides project management to quality improvement and new program initiatives in collaboration with the system office and site health care team, including operational leaders, physicians, and staff.
  • As needed, this position will support cross continuum or site specific projects/needs.

Education

Bachelors Degree required in Nursing. Masters preferred.

Qualification/Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the following :
  • Clinical related experience, preferably Mother/Baby.
  • Project management, performance improvement, quality, patient safety and facilitation skills.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience and desire to effectively work with physicians, and other clinical care team members.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Ability to effectively build teams composed of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate across business units and matrix of corporate functions.
  • Ability to foster an environment based on mutual respect, team work and open communication, while maintaining strong customer service focus.
  • Engaging clinicians, care team members, and other key stakeholders in the development or improvement of care, processes, or services.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including negotiation skills and conflict management.
  • Ability to set direction and facilitate a process to achieve desired, measurable outcomes.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize the principles, tools, and methods of Quality/Performance Improvement.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, salaried position
  • Primarily day hours flexibility needed to alter start and end times to meet the business needs (e.g. may have meeting commitments that start at 7 am or end at 5 pm.
  • On occasion may need to participate in meetings/events in the evening or on weekends.
