New Ulm Medical Center, located in south central Minnesota, seeks to be a national model for rural health. Responsibilities

  • Provides a standardized registration process that customers view as a positive experience
  • Collects accurate and complete demographic and financial data for the purpose of organizing, analyzing and translating this information into useful data that meets our customers’ needs as well as support organizational goals, meet regulatory and compliance requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • 1 year previous registration experience with a collections focus and/or direct credit and collections experience

Skills

  • Excellent communication, computer, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Technical knowledge of hospital, regulatory and compliance policies/procedures, and understanding of insurance payer requirements preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred

Work Schedule

  • 5 shifts per pay period, 3:00p-11:00p and 11:00-7:00a.
  • Every 3rd weekend - Fri/Sat 11:00-7:00a.
  • 2-3 holidays per year.

New Ulm is nestled just 90 miles southwest of the Twin Cities, in the heart of the Minnesota River Valley. The town is famous for its authentic German heritage, celebrated in festivals, historic monuments, attractions, shopping and many cultural events.
