Responsibilities

  • Gathers data (patient / client past and current health status, system review, selection of tests and measures to elicit additional information)
  • Makes clinical judgements based on data gathered in examination
  • Generates a therapy diagnosis
  • Involves patient and family in establishing goals of treatment
  • Predicts optimal level of improvement and amount time needed to reach that level
  • Designs, implements, and modifies therapeutic interventions per discipline guidelines
  • Uses reexamination to determine whether predicted outcomes are reasonable and modifies as necessary
  • Coordinates, communicates, and documents per program, regulatory and professional standards
  • Accommodates selection of tests and measures and therapeutic interventions to the age of the patient / client
  • Manages own time and efforts to meet productivity targets
  • Assists co-workers in managing the team’s productivity / performance targets
  • Assists receptionist, scheduler, peers and manager as needed
  • Reports and records service charges per program standards
  • Provides safe patient equipment, ensures personal safety, and safe work environment
  • Develops and promotes new and current programs as requested
  • Participates in program development, professional practice, and quality teams as requested
  • Promotes rehabilitation services by ensuring patient and physician satisfaction
  • Delegation and supervision
  • Professional conduct

Education

  • Bachelor or Basic Master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Licensure/Certifications

  • Minnesota registration in Physical Therapy
  • If position requires travel between facilities – must have a current and valid drivers license

Work Schedule

  • 40 hours a week
  • Monday through Friday day hours.
