Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for patients including assessment, diagnosis/treatment of illness, ordering and interpreting medical diagnostics, chronic illness management, wellness care, prescribing of medications, treatments, therapy, medical equipment, etc.
  • Follows the established safety and health measures
  • Development of a treatment plan
  • Implementation of a treatment plan
  • Follow-up and evaluation of patient status
  • Facilitation of patient participation in self-care
  • Promotion of optimal health
  • Facilitation of entry into health care system

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Physicians Assistants, State PA license
  • Master Degree/certification eligibility or advanced practice certification as an adult physicians assistant, family physicians assistant, geriontological physicians assistant, neonatal physicians assistant, women's health physicians assistant, pediatric physicians assistant
  • OR:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, State RN license
  • Master Degree/certification eligibility or advanced practice certification as an adult nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, geriontological nurse practitioner, neonatal nurse practitioner, women's health nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner

Qualification/Skills

  • Clinical competence in area specific competencies
  • Demonstrates caring behaviors of listening, respect, compassion and accepting individuality
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served. This includes knowledge of the growth and development over the lifespan, assessment and interpretation of the patients' status, identifying patient requirements described in policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Work Schedule

  • 2 days shifts per week and 2 weekends per month
  • Opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed
