Responsibilities

  • Provide a model of clinical excellence for staff
  • Responsible for the overall quality of inpatient mental health care rendered at assigned sites
  • Direct inpatient mental health care delivery and call coverage responsibilities
  • Work with Service Line leadership to set clinical practice parameters
  • Provides guidance related to mental health care delivery standards to other physicians, psychologists, and nurses at assigned sites
  • Overall supervision of inpatient mental health care provided at assigned sites while on-duty
  • Provide direct clinical consultations to staff as needed
  • Monitor daily aspects of the delivery of clinical care at assigned sites, ensuring with the Site Manager, quality of care, utilization review and patient complaint resolution
  • Administrative and managerial functions as required

Education

  • This position requires a Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine.

Experience

  • Post-residency clinical experience preferred
  • Management experience of other professionals desirable

Work Schedule

This is a casual position for a psychiatrist to provide occasional coverage including days, nights and/or weekends
