Responsibilities

  • Assess for symptoms and underlying family dynamics to help determine treatment plan
  • Working with patient, family and treatment team establish plan and goals
  • Establish therapeutic alliance with the patient and family
  • Adapt interventions to meet individual or family needs
  • Demonstrate varied repertoire of therapeutic skills for varied patient and family population
  • Creates safe therapeutic milieu
  • Working with treatment team, develop an on-going treatment plan for patient and family
  • Demonstrate initiatives and processes that support continuous quality improvement in patient care and education
  • Meet documentation requirements
  • Maintain communication with patients, family and other treatment team members to optimize success for patient and family
  • On going coordination of care with community care providers
  • Consistently monitors the treatment plan, goals and discharge plan to ensure appropriate utilization of resources to meet patient and family needs

Education

  • LICSW candidates preferred
  • May consider LP, LMFT - Masters required

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • Must have demonstrated clinical experience in providing family assessment, group psychotherapy and education to mental health patients in acute crisis
