Allina Health Emergency Medical Services is a leader and innovator in pre-hospital emergency medical services and is devoted to providing skilled and compassionate advanced life support, basic life support and scheduled transport in more than 100 Minnesota communities. Nearly 600 paramedics, emergency medical technicians and dispatchers work together to provide service to an area of approximately 1,000 square miles, reaching more than 1 million people annually.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop class curriculum based on DOT, OSHA, NiOSH, and Medical Directors Standards, and administer curriculum in a classroom and scenario based setting indoors or outdoors.

  • Prepare materials for use in class setting and complete course documentation as needed

  • Maintain the equipment used in the classroom

  • Arrange for additional instructors when needed
  • Provide high quality, reasonably priced emergency medical education to the first responder agencies of the communities we serve, and to other communities in regional Minnesota.
  • This education enhances patient care provided by agencies who respond to medical emergencies in their communities

Education

  • State and/or Nationally certified Paramedic or Registered Nurse

  • DOT Instructor Certified, or MN State Teaching License/Certificate within 6 months of hire.

Qualification/Skills

  • Valid MN state drivers license

  • 2 or more years of teaching experience preferred

  • 2 or more years of EMS/healthcare experience preferred

Work Schedule

Generally evenings, some daytime classes, occasional weekends.
Teaching times, and skills sessions based on customers needs.
