Allina Health Emergency Medical Services is a leader and innovator in pre-hospital emergency medical services and is devoted to providing skilled and compassionate advanced life support, basic life support and scheduled transport in more than 100 Minnesota communities. Nearly 600 paramedics, emergency medical technicians and dispatchers work together to provide service to an area of approximately 1,000 square miles, reaching more than 1 million people annually.

 

Responsibilities

  • This position works with other members of management to direct and supervise ambulance operations in Hutchinson MN.
  • The manager is responsible for an entire cost center within the EMS business unit and oversees daily operation, performance of supervisors of the west central Minnesota corridor and staff and reports to the Director of Operations.
  • The manager collaborates with other managers to ensure best practice is communicated throughout the business unit.
  • The manager establishes and maintains professional relationships with local public safety and community leaders.
  • They are responsible for developing and operating within an annual budget, and the budgets of the corridor.
  • Managers create staffing plans and ambulance deployment models.
  • This position works with Clinical Services leadership to ensure and improve clinical and operational quality.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years experience as an EMS supervisor.

Qualification/Skills

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence
  • Data analysis to include Microsoft Excel
  • Good writing skills

Work Schedule

Schedule is set by the manager. The manager does participate in the Duty Chief Program. Duty Chief has enterprise level oversight of the operation. Every 5th weekend the manager covers the Duty Chief for the weekend. This is an on call responsibility that may require responding during major incidents.
