Responsibilities

Evaluates, documents, inputs and interprets device results from TTM and remote transmissions
  • Maintain medical documentation in the patient record related to the service performed
  • Maintains PaceArt database
  • Out-patient pacemaker threshold testing under direction of provider or device RN
  • Timely communication of device/rhythm issues to appropriate medical staff and patient
  • Performs patient education related to their cardiac implanted device and remote follow up
  • Maintain transmitter stock
  • Remote device website maintenance to include: scheduling, demographic, disconnected, and discontinuation of services
  • Participation in staff education related to essential job function

Education

Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology or related field

Qualification/Skills

Preferred minimum of two years cardiology related experience
  • Demonstration of advanced arrhythmia recognition
  • Ability to interact with patients in a various patient care situations
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart, including:
  • Cardiac electrophysiology
  • Advanced rhythm interpretation
  • Indications for electrical cardiac pacing
  • Basic knowledge of pacemaker modalities ( single and dual ) and function
  • Basic knowledge of ICD/CRT-D
