  • Performs imaging procedures
  • Maintains an awareness of patients physical and emotional conditions, recognizes and reports adverse signs and takes authorized and/or necessary action
  • Verifies patient identification and imaging order
  • Protects patient confidentiality
  • Provides care appropriate to the age population served based on established criteria
  • Shows good communication skills with patients, families, and other hospital personnel
  • Performs data entry on exams, completes worksheets, consent forms and reporting documents as necessary
  • Files films and reports correctly
  • Burns C.D.s upon request and completes appropriate ROI for film release


  • High school diploma
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medical Sonography and/or Radiologic Technology



  • Experience preferred


  • Knowledge of computers
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Good communication skills
  • Work is physically demanding: standing, bending, lifting and pushing
  • Must have excellent human relation and organizational skills


  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • RVT required
  • BLS required
  • Must obtain certification within one year

Work Schedule

Casual position requiring a minimum of 2 shifts per month and 1 holiday per year. Typically 2nd shift, with potential for overnight or day shift. Typically 8 hour shifts, but able to do 12 if needed. Week days and weekends

The City of Shakopee is located in the southwest corner of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, 23 miles from Minneapolis, on the Minnesota River.
