This physician is responsible for providing in-house inpatient obstetrical and gynecology coverage at St. Francis Regional Medical Center.
  • Provide in-house OBGYN services in 24-hour shifts per schedule. Such services include but are not limited to vaginal births, cesarean sections, postpartum tubal ligations, inpatient GYN surgeries and patient rounding. This position does not see patients in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Approximately 7 (24hr) call shifts/month. Includes weekdays, weekends and some holidays
  • Position supports practice of 3 OBGYNs and 1 NP. OBGYNs also participate in call rotation
  • Collaborating OBGYN physician group for Allina Health midwife practice (3 CNMs) and family practice physicians
  • Hospital programs and services include a Level II Special Care Nursery, integrative health services and mother/newborn home health
  • Inpatient gynecology care also provided at St. Francis Regional Medical Center
  • The Allina Health OBGYN department is supported by subspecialists, including maternal fetal medicine specialists and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Additional partnerships with GYN oncologists and reproductive endocrinologists
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
  • Functions appropriately as part of care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills
  • Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, outcomes and workflows

  • This position requires a Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine



  • Must have demonstrated experience in designated specialty area


  • Must have current, unrestricted Minnesota State Medical Licensure
  • Must be board certified or be eligible for board certification within Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • BLS required

Work Schedule

  • 40 hours a week
  • Call - Approximately 7 (24hr) call shifts/month. Includes weekdays, weekends and some holidays
  • Benefit eligible
