Allina Health has a robust Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line that offers the full continuum of care including integration, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction and co-occurring services, partial hospitalization and day treatment, and inpatient care. There are more than 290 mental health and addiction clinicians dedicated to the highest quality patient care across 45 primary care clinics, 6 integrated psychiatry locations, 4 hospital-based clinics, 12 partial and day treatment programs, 15 Allina and affiliated Emergency Departments, and 7 hospitals with 305 inpatient beds. The Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line is led by both psychiatry and psychology clinical leadership, in partnership with operations to advance mental health care for patients across Allina Health.
  • Provide direct clinical care in psychology, including brief assessments and interventions, in a primary care setting
  • Conducts psychological assessments and interventions, which may include group therapy and virtual visits, in the primary care setting
  • Serve a primarily child and adolescent population
  • An ideal applicant would be one who has experience and interest in teaching and supervision of doctoral level psychology trainees.
  • Develop behaviorally-focused, outcomes-based treatment plans of care that address mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders
  • Engage the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals in psychotherapy
  • Assess and utilize various treatment modalities (individual, family, group or focused/short session psychotherapy)
  • Provide a minimum of 36 patient contact hours per week
  • Consult with primary care providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of their patients
  • Opportunities to participate in didactic training and supervision of the Allina Health Psychology Training program trainees at all levels, including practicum, internship, and post-doc.
  • Participate in relevant and ongoing professional training
  • Demonstrates and adheres to Allina Health’s commitment to care

Education

  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years licensed practice in psychological services preferred
  • Experience in the field of health psychology and/or the primary care environment would be highly desirable

Work Schedule

  • Typical Clinic Hours Monday - Friday
  • Options for remote/virtual care. Up to 50% virtual care/remote option. In-person clinic location and office days may vary from site to site, or over time

A growing suburb in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, Woodbury is located just 15 minutes southeast of St. Paul, the state's capital. The city is in close proximity to one of Minnesota's largest employers, 3M, and to the St. Croix River Valley, providing a beautiful natural setting and year-round recreational opportunities. Woodbury is known for its attractive residential neighborhoods, which are connected by more than 100 miles of multi-use trails and surrounded by 3,000 acres of dedicated park land. In addition, eight small lakes, most with public parks and pathways, dot the city. Residents have a wide choice of housing, ranging from apartments and townhomes to beautiful large-lot estates. Within its' 36 square miles are several shopping centers and a variety of amenities in the community making Woodbury the retail shopping hub of the east metro area. Woodbury also operates the Bielenberg Sports Center, which houses two indoor ice arenas and a field house with walking/running track. The outdoor complex includes athletic fields, picnic facilities, and play equipment. Public and private education options are also available along with easy access to many prestigious higher education institutions throughout the Twin Cities.
